Mi and Hue

Mi and Hue is an experimental colour system inspired by the structure of music. Instead of treating colours as isolated values, it organizes them into 96 notes across 12 pitches (hues) and 8 brightness registers, analogous to a piano keyboard. Any hexadecimal colour can become the system's "Middle C," from which all other colours are calculated using fixed hue intervals and brightness steps while maintaining constant saturation. This creates colour "chords," "scales," and "harmonies" that can be explored like musical compositions. The goal is to provide artists with a structured yet expressive framework for discovering visually harmonious palettes through relationships rather than intuition alone.
